The promo work that is being done for the Barbie movie has been super impressive, and the main actress, Margot Robbie, has been the main reason for that. In almost every official and unofficial appearance she’s made regarding the movie, she has dressed similarly to various Barbie dolls. Some of the outfits were created just for her, and some of them were vintage dresses that just fit the concept. Now, we are about to see which dolls, specifically, Margot is channeling in her appearances.

At the European premiere of Barbie in London, Margot transformed into “Enchanted Evening” Barbie, with Vivienne Westwood designing her dress.

At the same premiere, the actress wore a second dress that belongs to “Brunette Bubble Cut” Barbie from 1962. Dilara Findikoglu was the one who designed the outfit.

At an event in Sydney, Australia, Margot wore a metallic dress by Versace that looks quite similar to “Happy Birthday” Barbie.

She did not attend a red carpet event with this one, but Margot channeled 1959’s “Swimsuit” Barbie for an Instagram post. The suit was designed by Hervé Léger.

At the first photocall of the movie in Los Angeles, Margot wore a Valentino dress in order to pay tribute to “Pink and Fabulous” Barbie from 2015.

Margot isn’t the only actress who has paid tribute to her character though. Many other actresses made sure to create an outfit that would reference their character and/or their entire movie’s vibe.
