7 Real Crochet Gifts That Prove Making Something by Hand Still Gives Life Its Greatest Purpose

Self-help advice often tells us to find a life purpose, do something meaningful with our lives or find a way to make it feel more worthwhile. That can sound like a pretty big task. But more often than not, a sense of life purpose can come from something as ordinary as sitting down with a crochet hook and making something for another person.

There are people who crochet for themselves, and then there are people whose crochet baskets seem to have a permanent “this is for someone else” project in them. A friend needs a blanket? They make one. A new baby arrives in the family? Out comes the yarn. Someone is having a rough time? They start thinking about what they could make for them.
