Quaden, 12, Who Begged His Classmates to Stop Making Fun of His Condition, Will Now Star in a Major Blockbuster With Chris Hemsworth

Less than 3 years ago, Quaden Bayles’s mom posted a heartbreaking video of her boy crying because his classmates were making fun of him. Little did Quaden know, back then, that his life was about to transform drastically. Today, the young 12-year-old boy, who hasn’t even started high school yet, is about to become a big star. We will even see him soon in a blockbuster starring Hollywood A-lister Chris Hemsworth.

Quaden is an indigenous Australian boy who was born with a type of dwarfism known as achondroplasia. The world was first able to discover his story thanks to a video shared by his mama taken in early 2020. The clip, which went viral, showed the young boy in the back of the car feeling hurt and sobbing after his classmates gave him a hard time because of his condition.

The video quickly caught the attention of the world, and celebrities like Hollywood A-lister Hugh Jackman reacted to it. The Australian actor posted a video message on Twitter and told the sweet kid, “No matter what, you’ve got a friend in me.” He added, “Quaden, you are stronger than you know, mate.”

And the outpouring of love and support for Quaden didn’t stop there. In fact, Oscar-winning filmmaker George Miller decided to give him a role in his latest blockbuster Furiosa, which is going to be the fifth film in the Mad Max franchise. The film, which is expected to be released in May 2024, will star actor Chris Hemsworth and actress Anya Taylor-Joy.

Following this announcement, the 12-year-old wrote to his 273k Instagram followers, “Can’t wait to watch on the big screen next year.”

However, this won’t be the first time we see Quaden on the big screen. In fact, he previously had a role as an extra in another George Miller movie called Three Thousand Years of Longing. He got the opportunity to play opposite Hollywood A-listers Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton.

During the premiere of the movie, Quaden expressed his passion and excitement for this opportunity, and noted, “I love acting, I want to do heaps.”

In turn, Miller described the talented boy as “very film savvy and skilled.” The acclaimed director added, “Like everyone else, I saw the footage that his mother put up. I was incredibly moved by it.” He also explained that he decided to offer Bayles the role in Furiosa because “he did such a good job” on the previous film.

We hope that this is the beginning of a long and exciting chapter in Quaden’s life, and that we’ll get to see this skilled young boy on our screens for a long time to come.
