Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Don’t Share Pictures of Their Kids on Social Media, and All Other Parents Should Know Why
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are a pretty rare couple for Hollywood. Not only have they been together for almost 10 years, they have also kept their relationship in absolute privacy and kept control over the public discussion of their family life, including never showing their kids in public and keeping them off of social media.
Here at Bright Side we found out why the Gosling-Mendes family decided to not let the world see their kids and we were impressed by it. And of course we couldn’t help but share it with you.
The couple has almost never appeared together in the 10 years they’ve been together.
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been together since 2011, and they never post anything about each other on social media and never appear together on the red carpet, except for one public appearance in 2012, when they both starred in The Place Beyond The Pines.
Even when Gosling won his Golden Globe for La La Land, they didn’t go public.
During this time, they’ve only shared personal news once and it was about adopting a dog.
Their fans already know that they have 2 daughters and a dog, thanks to rare paparazzi shots and Mendes’ occasional Instagram posts. And it seems like Eva shared the story about the dog to primarily inspire readers to adopt dogs from shelters too.
Despite keeping things private, Mendes really likes to talk to her followers.
Eva communicates with her readers a lot, asking for their opinion and often responding to their comments. On a Gosling-Mendes fan page, she responded under a post about 3 favorite movies with Ryan Gosling. In the comments she replied that it was such a difficult question and chose Blade Runner 2049, Armstrong, and Nice Guys.
This young mother explained that her children need to be old enough to give her consent.
Mendes posted one of her favorite pieces of art on her account in April, when a follower asked why she never posts pics of her family. Mendes explained that, since her children are little and “don’t understand what posting their image really means,” she won’t post photos of them until they’re grown up, so they can give her their own permission.
And as for pics with Ryan, she also commented that she doesn’t post anything about her husband because, “It just works for us this way, to stay private.”
Mendes’ communication with readers in the comments caused greater activity on her account, and in March, Eva clarified again that as for Ryan, she’ll only post flash backs of things that are already “out there,” adding that her “man and kids are private. That’s important to me so thanks for getting that.”
