Insiders revealed their split was bound to happen sooner or later.

In an interview, a source close revealed the announcement of their separation didn’t actually come out of the blue. It was something that was already expected by those close to them. “It happened a while ago. Friends and family knew about it,” the insider disclosed.

They also went on to speculate that tension had been building between the two of them for a long time, possibly even before February 2022, when the veteran actor made its return to Broadway to perform in The Music Man. “Deb wasn’t at rehearsals very much,” they said in the interview, adding that she “was even spotted snoozing during some of them.”

Despite everything, the unknown source made clear that a third person wasn’t involved in why they decided to separate and that they had simply gradually transformed into “roommates.”
