I'm a little annoyed that the go-to for "modernizing" them is to put them into skimpy, revealing bathing suits, and I much prefer the versions where the princess is in something more street-worthy. The one exception would be Moana, who is, by default of her story, spending most of her movie in/on the ocean.
However... putting Snow White into a bikini with rounded breasts, tiny waist, and watch-them-wiggle hips is actually nauseating. The character of Snow White is intended to be 14 years old. Just no.
Just let their personality and story shine through and add a modern twist to it.
For example, would Cinderella be forced to clean the inside of her stepmother’s robot sweeper?
Would Belle be reading her favourite fantasies on e-books while her father does research?
And would Rapunzel be trapped inside her flat and let her locks become popular on social media while she paints and draws at home?
Megara is mythical she should not have been involved

These are NOT MODERNIZED, there is NOTHING connected to the ORIGINAL CHARACTER. Changing their clothes, hair and bodies, shows NO CONNECTION to the story. Just another "artist" with unrealistic views of women.
