Pierce Brosnan Responds to Trolls Who Criticized His Wife’s Weight and Shows Us What True Love Is

Stereotypes and prejudices of society have an impact on celebrities too. This time, it was the beloved wife of Pierce Brosnan, Keely Shaye Smith. Keely, the mother of 2, was openly fat-shamed by trolls. Not long after, the post was deleted, but this is how Brosnan protected his wife and became a real-life hero.

The former James Bond (1995), Pierce Brosnan, has been happily married to Keely Shaye Smith since 2001. Pierce met Keely when he had lost his first wife, an Australian actress named Cassandra Harris, to ovarian cancer. The celebrity couple has been married for 20+ years, after 7 additional years of dating. They married in 2001 with a closed wedding ceremony. Since then, Pierce has been known to be incredibly fond of his wife. With a determined attitude, once again, he showed the world what true love is.

A facebook troll criticized Keely’s weight.

A troll shared an old picture of Pierce and his wife posing by the seaside, along with a current version of them, pointing out the change in the couple’s bodies, saying, “This is us.” Even though the post was taken down, Pierce responded to insults about the casual fat-shaming attitude toward his wife.

Pierce Brosnan responded by saying, “I strongly love every curve of her body,” regarding his beloved wife.

Pierce says Keely was offered to have surgery to reduce her weight, adding, “But I strongly love every curve of her body. She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes.” He loved her because of the qualities she has as a person, and this love of his expanded as he became a caring father of their 2 children together. Pierce is proud of his wife and, in his words, “I always seek to be worthy of her love.”

This was not the first time Pierce Brosnan displayed his affection toward his wife in public.

On their twentieth anniversary, he shared a love note, saying, “My love forever grows with you.” Keely replied back, “Still the one! Thank you for the gift of your love and friendship. The world is more beautiful with you in it!” This shows us how unique their relationship is.

Another time, he did this again when he celebrated their anniversary on his Instagram with a picture in their house, making us believe in living “happily ever after” and keeping our hopes up for a love like a fairy tale.

Love has been sacred for Pierce Brosnan because of his difficult childhood.

The sacredness of his love toward Keely comes from the mistreatment he received as a child or the absence of a father figure as he grew up. This made him value fatherhood and having stronger family roots, meanwhile choosing to focus on his future instead of dwelling on the difficult past.
