We’d assume that all stars are big-spenders because of the amount of money they earn. However, some have made the decision to live a simple life just like the rest of us. A good few do it to save their money for the future, while others are afraid of losing that authentic connection with people once they adopt a more luxurious way of life. Either way, choosing to stay grounded and humble despite all the material temptations proves that they have a heart of gold and a good head on their shoulders.

Bright Side believes that money should never control us or change our principles. And here are some stars who will surprise you with how similar their life is to ours.

Kunis and Kutcher, who tied the knot in 2015, are one of Hollywood’s most famous power couples. However, it seems that they are all about enjoying life in a low-key manner and staying far away from the glamour and glitter that come with fame. The actress revealed that she got her wedding ring from an online site for $90 because she was shocked at how ’’astronomical’’ the prices of wedding rings at luxurious jewelry stores were.

Lady Gaga

The 36-year-old multi-talented star revealed in a tweet that she still uses coupons at supermarkets and tries bargaining at retail stores. She went on adding that she’s from New York and that’s why she loves shopping from the sale rack.

Kristen Bell

The 42-year-old actress once revealed during a TV interview that she’s a huge fan of shopping with coupons in order to save a few bucks. She even hinted that she might steal coupons from her neighbors’ mailboxes sometimes.

The actress revealed that she gives herself an allowance of about $50,000/year. She explained that this decision isn’t just about saving money, but that it also helps her stay grounded and connected to others. She said, ’’I think living an [expensive] lifestyle means you can’t hang out with people who don’t live that lifestyle." She then added that some of the best times she spent have been in the least fancy places.

Hilary Swank

The 2-time Oscar winner revealed she cannot resist coupons when she sees them. Swank once explained, “When you open the paper and see those coupons, it’s like dollar bills staring you in the face.” And even though she’s now a Hollywood A-lister she added ’’It’s how I grew up. Why not?"

Ed Sheeran

The 31-year-old might be one of the most successful and best-selling artists of our time, but Sheeran admitted, “I really don’t spend much.” He even revealed that he gives himself an allowance of about $1,000/month which he mostly spends on taxis.

Tiffany Haddish

It seems that the 42-year-old stand-up comedian and actress is totally against squandering her money. It was once revealed that the purse she had was the knock-off version of a famous brand. Also, in 2016, Haddish had been living on a budget of $500/month in order to be able to pay off her house. She added that she was doing this because she was afraid of being homeless once again.

Sarah Michelle Gellar

The 45-year-old actress and entrepreneur revealed that she clips coupons, saying that it allows her to pay less money. She explained, “Just because you’re successful doesn’t mean that you should be errant in your spending.”
Geller also admitted that she doesn’t “like making big purchases.” She went on saying, “I will go back and stare at a leather jacket for a couple of days before I even purchase it.”

Halle Berry

Berry was one of the highest-paid actresses in the 2000s, however, despite having earned a lot of money, she describes herself as “pretty frugal.” She explained her lifestyle by saying, “I save a lot because I’m always worried about when this trip is going to stop.”
