Making the decision to become a parent comes with a starter pack of challenges. And if you’re a young parent, you may agree that it’s a whole different journey since you have to learn early on about the responsibility of raising a family. These celebrities below decided to take the big step and show us that when you’re ready, you can form a lovely family at any age.

1. Sofía Vergara — 19 years old

Modern Family star Sofía Vergara had her son, Manolo, at the age of 19. She was then married to Joe Gonzalez, however, the marriage was short-lived and she became a single mother.

Despite the difficulties of combining her career as an actress with caring for her little son at the age of 21, Vergara has admitted that she does not regret becoming a young mother.

2. Whoopi Goldberg — 18 years old

If there’s one celebrity who can refer to her daughter as her best friend, it’s Whoopi Goldberg. She had her daughter, Alex, at the age of 18.
