10 Movies and Remakes That Caused a Stir on the Internet
The “remake” is a hard thing to tackle since few directors manage to outshine the original flick and hit the jackpot. On one hand, scrupulous moviegoers view remakes quite critically. On the contrary, those who like to try new things strive to look at their favorite movie characters from a different angle. And sometimes a remake gets so much recognition that it outperforms the initial movie.
We at Bright Side are exploring 10 flicks and their remakes that caused a stir in the world of cinematography.
The Apartment and Wicker Park
The sad, tragic, and thrilling drama proves that not all is fair in love and war. It’s the story of a young man who suddenly runs into the love from his past who had mysteriously disappeared from his life a couple of years prior. The flick is full of diverse characters, and over the course of events, the plot is literally turned inside out.
It was Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci who starred in the original French version in 1996 and Josh Hartnett and Diane Kruger who acted in the American remake in 2004.
Dial M for Murder

Tom and Jerry
Tom and Jerry is a fan favorite cartoon series for kids who grew up in the 1990s. And now its creators have decided to start production on a new animated full-length flick version of the cartoon next year. Our favorite characters will appear in front of an audience in a more modern look, and we’ll see real people (such as Chloë Moretz and Michael Peña) instead of the mere legs of a grumpy servant. But one thing will remain unchanged: a plot that shows the cat always getting into trouble and the mouse rejoicing.

Both movies also have second parts that were produced in 2007 and 2012, respectively.
