Celebrities’ lives, whether personal or professional, have always been in the spotlight, and sometimes, we think we know everything about them. But the internet has a way of letting us discover things about these stars that make us wonder who they are.
Bright Side did some digging to find out some of the most unbelievable and random facts about celebrities that might make you think twice.
1. Keanu Reeves has a song named after him.
Released in 2019, the song Keanu Reeves is part of American rapper Logic’s fifth album. The particular lyric “I am the one, like Keanu Reeves,” is the rapper’s nod to Keanu’s iconic role in The Matrix.
2. Oprah has a bathtub that’s shaped like her body.
During an interview, Oprah revealed that she takes bathing very seriously, to the point that her tub is molded to the shape of her own body. She also said that she loves anything bath-related, so if anyone is thinking of a gift for her, they can never go wrong with bath salts.
3. Cynthia Nixon and Sarah Jessica Parker first met each other when they were 12 and 13, respectively.
Before being besties on the set of Sex and the City, Cynthia and Sarah Jessica first met and worked together when they were barely in their teens for a recording of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House in the Big Woods on vinyl.
4. Jeremy Renner was a former makeup artist.
While known for his action-packed roles and movies, Jeremy Renner may surprise fans when they find out that he used to be a makeup artist. In an interview, he confidently said that painting faces was not a difficult gig for him back then because of his experience in theater and drawing.
5. Liam Payne has a silverware phobia.
One Direction’s Liam Payne avoids using utensils in restaurants and homes for fear that they are dirty. During an interview, he admitted that he doesn’t like eating with spoons that are not his. This aversion to dirty spoons started when he was a kid and was punished and made to wash the entire school’s utensils.
6. Emma Stone created a PowerPoint presentation to convince her parents to let her get into acting.
At age 14, Emma convinced her parents to allow her and her mom to move to Hollywood to pursue her dream of being an actress. Aptly titled “Project Hollywood,” her PowerPoint presentation discussed how she would move to California, get homeschooled, and audition for roles in movies and TV shows.
7. Nicole Kidman has a fear of butterflies.
Nicole developed her phobia of butterflies when she was a child in her homeland of Australia. She shared that when she would come home from school and there was a butterfly on their front gate, she would avoid it by climbing over the fence and crawling around to the side of the house. Her fear was so real that she even tried to face her fears by walking into a butterfly cage at the American Museum of Natural History, to no avail.
8. Sandra Bullock is allergic to horses.
Some people may be allergic to cats or dogs, but Sandra suffers an unusual allergy to horses. She discovered this condition in 1996 while she was filming the movie Two If By Sea, where she had to ride a horse.
9. Adam Driver refuses to watch himself on-screen.
Adam’s rule to never watch himself on camera was the result of watching a pilot episode of Girls, where he played the leading man to Lena Dunham’s character. He said he noticed all the mistakes he made. The fact that he couldn’t change them because they were already there is the reason behind this rule. However, he broke his own rule when he watched Star Wars: Episode IX — The Rise of Skywalker because he couldn’t believe he made it into the movie.
