Movie characters become iconic thanks to the actors that portray them on the screen. And it is not surprising that it is so hard to imagine what a movie would look like if the main part was played by someone else. But there are still a lot of examples of when actors in Hollywood movies were replaced or the casting process didn’t go as expected.
Bright Side decided to find out which actors were really close to portraying the characters that millions of people love today.
Claire Danes turned down the role in Titanic because after the film Romeo + Juliet that she appeared in with DiCaprio, she was no longer very interested in romantic roles.
Emma Stone was supposed to play the part of Meg in Little Women, but she turned it down because of the promotion of The Favourite.
Jennifer Lawrence wanted to play Serena Van Der Woodsen in Gossip Girl and she was very sad when she didn’t get the role.

Scarlett changed so much from when she was a kid, she really didn't look that beautiful to me
So weird that an actor would care that much about "fans not liking them in that role".. just do what you enjoy and you will get new fans
