When it comes to shopping, we can all agree that the internet has become one of our best allies thanks to its convenience. In fact, it has a lot of benefits: you can kiss those endless lines and overwhelming crowds goodbye. What’s more, you can do all of that from the comfort of your own home, and you might even find some great discounts.

The downside is that, sometimes, our orders don’t meet our expectations, especially when it comes to clothing and fashion. In those cases, the best you can do is check the store’s reputation on specialized websites before buying what’s in your online shopping cart. That way, you won’t feel frustrated once your order arrives.

Bright Side has scrounged up 25 pictures of internet users who looked at their unpleasant experiences with a sense of humor. Don’t forget to check the bonus at the end of the article. Happy reading!

I also have ordered online not once but twice and if received horrible results. I did try to do some research on the websites but there was nothing to be found so I went ahead and ordered. Both items ended up in the recycling bin. There has got to be a way to stop these websites for false advertising and literally stealing people's money. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way.

The show is over. The comment is hidden.

They're obviously on about sites like Wish or Poopee etc, and fake items, and not top of the line gadgets sold by companies instead of individuals.

I agree with you. I ordered a dress and shoes from Wish and I received another dress with picture and shoes is bigger than my foot. That was the first time and last time for shopping online from China. Cheap price cheap quality, more stress!

That's kinda unfair, for example I'm from Hong Kong and my mum buys stuff online from Chinese websites and they usually turn up pretty good. And I also use a Redmi Note 9 Pro which is a Chinese brand but I've been using it for a year and it's pretty good.

But being from there youd know the decent sites. Whereas on Uk websites for ex. Theres endless ads or cheap fake platforms that offer cheap quick items that arent what theyre advertised as. Dont know wjy people still use them. They arent on about top brand companies. But a select few who take advantage.

Oh I can relate so much... I once brought ordered a dress from eBay. In the picture it was a beautiful pink mid dress, it came in double the length and double the size. My mother made some pillowcases for me and also commented, You paid 9 bucks and free shipping, what did you expect? I mean, I should have known better???

hahahaha I know I shouldn't laugh But I truly love picture compilations like this one. I have a really wise friend, who loves shopping online, and she told me that if you are going to shop from somewhere not so reliable, don't bother buying clothes, better prefer smart phone accessories ?

Some of these just don’t have the same shape and look almost identical/okay. You should be trying dresses on in stores, prom or wedding.

Some of these could definitely be altered for a waist, removal of extra fabric at the top.

Oh I still remember the backpack I ordered online, I was waiting almost one month for it to arrive and when it came it was too small even a kids!

Some of these were ugly to start with and some of these are bigger girls expecting to look like the skinny models. Majority of them are pretty bad though :/

How about buying from trustworthy websites or at least reading review comments before??

I'm pretty sure you will see that there is something sketchy in them. Like, robotic or they just look the same.

I personally never buy anything online unless I read enough reviews about the store / seller

so, I have never had such situations

agree here, it especially applies to clothes. If there are no reviews with photos where customers wear this item, I don't buy it!

Oh yes, everything I buy/put on lists I overdo the review reading. I spent longer than necessary researching for my wedding registry ? I do think there’s a site that rates review legitimacy out there. I think my odd obsession with over analyzing reviews is why I’ve never bought anything from ModCloth, despite finding everything dreamy. There aren’t enough reviews! They do have photos but I still have never added anything to my cart.

I actually like #20
What was everyone expecting buying gowns on knock off, and from ads and foreign sites.
