9 Times Actors Admitted to Crushing on Their Co-Stars

Taking a liking to your co-worker can be tough, especially because many people believe that you shouldn’t mix business with pleasure. And for actors portraying on-screen lovers, hiding a crush can be even more difficult. While some celebs only confessed their crushes years later, others made a move and even found love with their co-stars.

1. Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt

During a recent interview, Margot Robbie revealed that she had a crush on Brad Pitt and wasn’t too shy to make a move, either. Robbie and Pitt are co-stars in the 2022 movie, Babylon, and the actress made sure to include a spontaneous kiss during filming.

“That wasn’t in the script,” Robbie revealed, “but I thought, ’When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I’m just gonna go for it.’”

2. Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves

Reeves and Bullock worked together on several projects, including Speed. While they’ve been friends for decades, it turns out they also had crushes on each other at the start of their careers.

“I think about how sweet Keanu Reeves was and how handsome he was. It was hard for me to really be serious. He would look at me, and I’d be like [giggles],” the actress explained years later.

3. Selena Gomez and Billy Crudup

According to the talented singer and actress, she has had a crush on Crudup for years, to which she finally admitted in 2014 after getting the chance to star together. “I found out I was going to be a part of the movie [with Billy] and it took me a minute at first because I kind of had a little bit of a crush on him!” Gomez explained.

4. Shane West and Mandy Moore

Moore and West played lovers in the 2002 romantic drama, A Walk to Remember. But West had the hots for his co-star in real life as well. “I think when you do (have an attraction) and you’re doing such a sweet story that it just makes it very easy,” West said in a later interview. And although Moore also revealed that the crush was reciprocated by her, they didn’t end up dating and stayed friends instead.

5. Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray

“I definitely had a crush on him. We had a few kissing scenes in the movie and I remember feeling pretty nervous about that, but then we became friends, and I wasn’t so nervous anymore,” Hilary Duff explained. Duff and Murray met on the set of A Cinderella Story and portrayed star-crossed lovers.

6. Zac Efron and Rose Byrne

Zac Efron wasn’t shy about revealing his feelings right after Neighbors was released. Although the 2 co-stars didn’t get that close together on screen, Efron still became a big admirer of Byrne.

“She might be my favorite actress in the world! She’s got like a light about her, you can’t teach or learn. It’s really kinda magical. In this movie, she plays a strong, funny, easy-going woman. She’s gonna redefine what you want a wife to be,” the actor gushed.

7. Josh Brolin and Ryan Reynolds

Despite playing enemies in Deadpool 2 and being happily married in real life, Josh Brolin developed somewhat of a crush on Ryan Reynolds when they were co-stars. “I told Ryan. I was like, ’I don’t know why this is, and I don’t know what this means psychologically, behaviorally, emotionally, but I have kind of a crush on you.’”

8. Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor

When Page was asked in an interview about his celebrity crush, he named his co-star and on-screen lover, Phoebe Dynevor. “I’m gonna go with the joy that is Phoebe Dynevor, my Daphne Bridgerton because how could you not be.” And after witnessing the chemistry these 2 had in the series, we can’t really blame Page.

9. David Harbour and Winona Ryder

Harbour and Ryder are currently co-stars on Stranger Things, but the actor’s crush on his female co-star dates further back. “Professionally, I’ve had a crush on Winona Ryder for a long time. I grew up with her movies. To be let into that world is a dream come true,” Harbour confessed in a recent interview.
