Kylie Jenner Reveals the Dark Side of Being a Mom to Show Others That They’re Not Alone
Kylie Jenner’s life has been on our radar so much, it’s sometimes difficult to remember that she’s a real person and not just a TV character. As a mom of 2 kids, Jenner often faces the same struggles as many other moms. And this time, she’s opening up about having gone through postpartum depression, extending a helping hand to women everywhere.
In a recent interview, Jenner was asked to share her perspective on dealing with baby blues, and she had a lot to say.
“I have experienced it. Twice. The first time was very difficult, the second was more manageable,” she said. “I would tell those women not to overthink things and to live all the emotions of that moment to the fullest. Stay inside that moment, even if it’s painful.”
Jenner continued, “I know, in those moments you think that it will never pass, that your body will never be the same as before, that you will never be the same. That’s not true: the hormones, the emotions at that stage are much, much more powerful and bigger than you. My advice is to live through that transition, without fear of the aftermath.”
Going through such a difficult thing once is a great struggle, but to be able to handle it twice is simply remarkable. Jenner first gave birth to her daughter, Stormi, in 2018, after keeping her pregnancy a secret. 4 years later, the reality star pulled the same trick when she surprised fans with the birth of her son, Aire, in early 2022.
Jenner also reflected on her favorite firsts after becoming a mother, which might be the reason she wants 7 kids in total. “Finding myself in the hospital alone with a new and unknown creature in my arms... There is another magical moment, though: when you bring your children home. It is perhaps the most beautiful moment,” said Jenner.
Even though Jenner is only 25 years old, she’s making it obvious that she was always meant to be a mom. In fact, one of her big dreams was to be a young mom. Jenner once highlighted how important it was in an Instagram tribute to her daughter. She wrote, “Being a young mom just means we met a little early, and I get to love you a little longer.”
