17 Things That Were Made for Everyone to Like Them

Milly Alcock is a rising 22-year-old star who conquered everyone’s hearts after getting the leading role in the Game of Thrones prequel. The HBO series called House of Dragon was released on August 21, 2022. The plot is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and reveals the story of House Targaryen.
Bright Side tells the story of a regular girl and proves you shouldn’t give up, even if you live in the attic.
The actress was studying at Sydney’s Newtown High School of the Performing Arts. She decided to quit when she got the role of Meg in the Australian drama Upright. She confessed, “It wasn’t my place. I struggled and I really wanted to do well, I didn’t have any great teachers who saw me until I found acting was where I felt safe. It was the right decision.”
The role of Meg gave her a boost of confidence and determination. She comments on the decision to leave school, “I knew this opportunity would be more of a valuable experience than getting my piece of paper. I never doubted it for a second. I was almost too impulsive. I couldn’t say no and I couldn’t let the fear and anxiety haunt me, because that would have defeated the purpose of leaving.”
Milly recollects, “It was like 8 pm and I was like, ’It’s really late for my agent.’ And he said, ’Are you sitting down? You got it.’ And I just froze outside and then walked back.” It was illegal to tell anyone about the news but she couldn’t help it and told her mom about it, “If it’s your mum, you can tell them. That’s what I did.”
Her performance as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in the new HBO show House of the Dragon got rave reviews. Fans also pointed out similarities between her and Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen.
It took 1 hour and 30 minutes every day to glue it on her, but she still misses the wigs, as they gave her a distinctive otherworldly air. In any case, her leading role for the first half of the series was an absolute success.
What do you think of Milly’s performance in the series? How difficult do you think it is to rise from rags to riches?
