The snap which he captioned ’’My training buddy’’ along with a lion emoji has received over 500k likes to date as well as thousands of comments gushing over the strong connection between this father-daughter duo.
Mark and Priscilla have been together for 20 years.
Mark and his wife Priscilla, who is a pediatrician, met when they were 18 and both studying at Harvard University back in 2003. After living together for several years, the couple surprised their party guests one day by getting married in their backyard in 2012.
They first became parents to their daughter Maxima in 2015. 2 years later, the pair welcomed their second daughter, August, followed by the birth of Aurelia in March 2023.
Starting a family was challenging.
The couple’s journey to parenthood wasn’t an easy one. They had trouble conceiving and suffered 3 miscarriages. Speaking of that painful experience, Mark shared, ’’You feel so hopeful when you learn you’re going to have a child.’’ He added, ’’You start making plans, and then they’re gone. It’s a lonely experience.’’
The entrepreneur also insisted on the importance of talking about miscarriages instead of struggling alone. He noted, ’’In today’s open and connected world, discussing these issues doesn’t distance us. It brings us together. It creates understanding and tolerance, and it gives us hope.’’
More and more celebrities are opening up about their infertility struggles or experience with miscarriages and we admire them for their honesty. If you’d like to learn about their journey, check out these articles:
