Mick Jagger has recently made headlines by revealing his decision to direct his wealth towards charitable causes rather than leaving it to his children. The star believes his children don’t need his fortune, which could benefit more people instead.

The Rolling Stones frontman discussed his financial plans in a recent interview.

The 80-year-old Rolling Stones legend, who has fathered eight children with five different partners, divulged his financial strategies during a conversation with The Wall Street Journal. Mick Jagger made it clear that he harbors no intentions of parting with his stake in The Rolling Stones’ historical music catalog.

Mick Jagger doesn’t think his 8 kids need his fortune.

Jagger’s reasoning behind the decision has to do with the fact that he believes his 8 kids don’t need the money selling his shares would bring. “The children don’t need $500million to live well. Come on,” the rock legend revealed in a very matter-of-fact way.

Giving it to charity might be a better decision, according to the star.

In his conversation with WSJ magazine, Jagger instead explored the idea of directing his wealth towards charity. “You maybe do some good in the world,” he explained.

Mick Jagger is a well-known philanthropic celebrity. He’s donated generously to various causes, including a cricket non-profit, Elton John’s AIDS foundation, and children’s music education. Therefore, the notion of him wanting his wealth to keep benefiting his favorite causes even after his passing shouldn’t be that surprising.

Mick Jagger is not the only celebrity who doesn’t plan to leave his fortune to his kids. Daniel Craig believes that everyone should earn their own living, instead of relying on inheritance.
