Moms’ 97-Hour Workweek Equals a Six-Figure Job, According to Study

You might be surprised to learn that a typical mom’s workweek adds up to an astounding 97 hours. Moms truly break boundaries, proving that a mother’s love knows no limits, and their unwavering dedication and care make the impossible possible.

Moms do several jobs at the same time.

A new study shows that moms spend a whopping 97 hours every week taking care of their kids. They take on different roles like being a driver, a chef, and a teacher.

The research surveyed 2,000 American moms with kids aged 5 to 18. It looked at all the tasks they handle. Some of the common job titles for moms included being a life coach, meal planner, and even a professional cuddler.

They juggle many roles with love and dedication.

According to moms, a typical day involves spending 46 minutes preparing meals for their children, 44 minutes doing laundry, and 29 minutes engaging in artwork and drawing activities with the kids. On top of that, they take on other roles, such as tutor and therapist, which quickly adds up to more hours than a full-time job. Mothers invest a considerable amount of time and effort in fulfilling their multiple roles, showcasing their dedication and love for their families.

Researchers claim moms’ job deserves a six-figure salary.

The research revealed that if moms were to be compensated for their parenting responsibilities, they would earn a substantial six-figure salary of $100,460 per year. This impressive amount comes despite the fact that 70 percent of the surveyed mothers also work either full-time or part-time jobs. Moms’ efforts as parents are highly valuable, and the study shows how they do a remarkable job raising children while managing their professional responsibilities too.

Moms often sacrifice sleep.

In 2007, the National Sleep Foundation sponsored a poll that surveyed over 1,000 adult women of different ages and races. The results were alarming: 60 percent of American women had only one or two restful nights of sleep each week, and 40 percent experienced sleep problems every night.

This lack of quality sleep had a significant impact on their mental and physical well-being, personal lives, work performance, and even driving safety. The study found that women’s sleep deprivation was mainly due to juggling multiple responsibilities, such as work, childcare, family, and relationships.

As parents, we understand that raising kids is a big responsibility, but it’s also full of laughter and joy they bring into our homes. That’s why experienced moms and dads always have their cameras ready, excited to capture the adorable and funny moments of their beloved children, knowing that these heartwarming moments are a true delight for the whole family.
