Nick Cannon Revealed How Much Money He Shares With His 12 Children

For the past couple of years, Nick Cannon has been a constant presence in headlines everywhere for the outstanding number of children he has welcomed in a short amount of time. In fact, he became the father of 5 children in 2022 alone, all with different mothers. Now, in a recent interview, he talked about how he shares his wealth with his kids, stating he doesn’t abide by the government’s child support system.

He isn’t hung up on money.

Nick Cannon got candid while recording an episode of The Jason Lee podcast and touched on a subject that most celebrities tend to avoid: their finances. In this particular case, the TV host was asked about how he safeguards his assets whilst co-parenting with several women.

“I don’t care about that stuff. I believe true currency is your energy. I wish I could make a contract, ’You cannot take this much of my energy when you leave,’” he revealed and further explained his philosophy. “Money comes and goes. I always tell people, ’Money don’t make you happy. Happy makes you money.’ So I’m always going to be good, and every dollar that I make is for my family.”

In regard to financially supporting his children, the 42-year-old opened up about how he’s “not in the child support system that is run by the government” and how he doesn’t hold back when it comes to sharing his wealth with his kids.

“My money is their money, their money is my money. They can have whatever they want, whatever they ask for. My account is their account, and there’s a lot in there, so we’re not going to run out,” he said.

He has been growing his family for years.

Cannon’s first children, twins Monroe and Moroccan, whom he shares with singer Mariah Carey, were born in 2011. He also shares 3 kids with model Britanny Bell, Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah, born in 2017, 2020 and 2022, respectively.

But it doesn’t stop there. Cannon is a father to another set of twins with DJ Abby De La Rosa, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir (b. 2021) and a daughter Beautiful Zeppelin (b. 2022). Model Alyssa Scott shares 2 kids with him too, including Zen, who passed away at 5 months-old, and Halo Marie (b. 2022).

Finally, he welcomed a son with real estate agent Bre Tiesi, Legendary Love, and a son with documentary filmmaker LaNisha Cole, Onyx Ice Cole, both in 2022.

Despite all the challenges that might rise from a huge blended family, Cannon seems to be a master at co-parenting and getting along with his exes. His most famous past relationship is perhaps his former marriage to Mariah Carey. Not too long ago, he opened up about his ex-wife in a way that could be hard to believe for many.
