As an in-betweener size with a larger bottom half, I do many of these. My broad shoulders mean I must create a waist(I have one, but blouse proportions need to show it) to not look larger or boxy. Flattering dresses or belts are my favorite things to wear! I am very happy bootcut, flared, and bell bottom pants are more available now. Skinny at my ankle works better as tights/leggings with the right dress instead of skinny jeans that put me out of proportion. I cannot find a pencil skirt for the life of me though, as I have a slight violin shape having thighs and hips. Shapers don’t stay and I hate spending $100 dollars on something I can’t wear alone haha. It’s okay, wrap dresses and sundresses with a top hitting at empire waist with a belt (makes it look like two pieces) work just fine.

Oh and I do have a couple monochromatic outfits that I feel kind of cool in. I have a black v-neck blouse(One of my favorite Goodwill finds!) with pretty detailing at the neck with slimming black pants.
