It started in their early childhood.

When Lionel Messi was just a small boy, his dream was to become a soccer player. But his more sacred dream was not so vividly discussed in his interviews. One day, he sat at the table in his room, took out a piece of paper and a pen, and began to write, “Antonela.”

In the letter, the small boy wrote to a small girl with just a sentence: “One day, we will get engaged.” And this was the beginning of a love story that is worth being made into its own movie.

Lionel Messi was born in 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. Antonela Roccuzzo, a lovely girl and the love of Messi’s life, was born just a year later in 1988. Their childhood love was born at the home of Messi’s friend, Lucas Scaglia.

It was then that their relationship received a second chance. Messi and Roccuzzo revived their deep and pure feelings toward each other, but for some time, they didn’t disclose their relationship.

The happy reunion made their relationship everlasting.

Messi first told people about their romance in an interview in January 2009. Messi and Roccuzzo have 3 sons: Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro. To celebrate Roccuzzo’s first pregnancy, Messi put the ball under his shirt after scoring in Argentina’s 4-0 win against Ecuador on June 2, 2012.

On June 30, 2017, he married the love of his life at a luxury hotel called Hotel City Center in Rosario. In October 2017, Roccuzzo announced they were expecting their third child.
