12 Actors Made Tattoos About the Movies They Acted in, and It Looks So Heart-Touching
It’s hard to surprise anyone with a tattoo these days since the art has become quite widespread. Some people make it simple while others add personal meaning to it. For example, the actors in today’s article wear their tattoos to remember their most significant acting roles.
Bright Side put together a list of celebrities who decided that a tattoo would be the best way to keep a connection with the movies that were so important to them.
1. The actors from The Avengers franchise
Robert Downey, Jr. explained online that 5 actors from The Avengers team got similar tattoos and this really touched fans’ hearts. Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans were the first to get inked when they were in New York. Then the tattoo artist flew to Los Angeles and gave similar tattoos to Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner.
2. Sophie Turner
Sophie Turner got a tattoo of a direwolf — an emblem of the Starks’ house from Game of Thrones. The line “the pack survives” comes from a longer quote from this TV show which is, “When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.”
3. Pretty Little Liars
When the Pretty Little Liars TV show wrapped, all the actresses who acted in it for 7 seasons decided to keep unusual mementos. They all got tattoos of the first letters of the names of their characters.
4. Neil Patrick Harris
The main lead actor of the A Series of Unfortunate Events TV series, Neil Patrick Harris, celebrated the beginning of Season 2’s production in a very unusual way. He got the same tattoo that as his character Count Olaf had, only this time it was real.
5. The Lord of the Rings cast
During the production of The Lord of the Rings, the majority of the actors from the fellowship of the ring decided to get identical tattoos to remember the time they had spent together during the filming.
These actors consisted of Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Sean Bean, Viggo Mortensen, Dominic Monaghan, and Ian McKellen. The tattoo itself means “9” in elvish language.
6. The Suicide Squad cast
The actors and the crew members became so close during the production of Suicide Squad, they decided to remember this period forever by getting tattoos of the word, “skwad”. The leads of the movie, Margot Robbie and Will Smith, inked their colleagues Joel Kinnaman and Jai Courtney, as well as the movie director David Ayer themselves!
7. Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner
Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner decided to eternalize their friendship and their participation in Game of Thrones with an identical tattoo. The actresses who played Sansa and Arya Stark got a tattoo that said the date of Season 1, the beginning.
8. The 13 Reasons Why cast and Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez, Tommy Dorfman, and Alisha Boe got a tattoo to support Project Semicolon which works with cases of suicide and psychological health. Tommy and Alisha worked together in the 13 Reasons Why TV series which tells a story of a schoolgirl who committed suicide.

The actor who played Walter White in Breaking Bad got a tattoo of the series’ logo. He showed this tattoo to the public at a party in Los Angeles that was dedicated to the last season’s release.
10. Aaron Paul
Aaron Paul also got inked to honor his work in the Breaking Bad TV series where he played the part of Jesse Pinkman. The tattoo says, “No half measures”.
11. Tom Holland
Tom Holland got inked with a tattoo of a spider which can be found on the sole of his foot. “I’ve always wanted to have the symbol of Spider-Man on my body but never thought it’d really happen,” said Tom.
12. Emilia Clarke
The actress posted her photo with this tattoo right after she got inked. She chose the picture of a bumblebee on her little finger because her heroine Lou had a similar tattoo in Me Before You.
