10 Celebrity Moms Who Worked While Pregnant

While pregnancies can be very challenging, 56% of pregnant women continue to work full time. The rest of the moms-to-be either ask for fewer hours or decide to leave their job temporarily. Celebrities are no exception, and many of them decide to continue with their careers while expecting children.

We at Bright Side made a list of 10 celebs who continued acting, performing, and working while they were expecting children.

1. Adriana Lima

In April 2022 while expecting her third child, Adriana Lima returned to the catwalk, showing off her growing bump. The 40-year-old supermodel walked in an Alexander Wang fashion show and put her belly on display.

2. Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez announced she was pregnant with twins while on tour with her then-husband, Marc Anthony. Before that, she performed in several other concerts, showing off her baby bump and leading fans to speculate. The singer was also a presenter at the Movies Rock event later that year.

3. Beyoncé

Also, pregnant with her twins, Beyoncé performed at the Grammy Awards in 2017 while her daughter and husband watched from the audience. Talking about her performance later, the pop star iconically said, “Women like her cannot be contained.”

4. Halle Berry

Although Halle Berry admitted that filming X-Men: Days of Future Past was a challenge, the actress didn’t want to drop out of the production. The creators of the franchise accommodated her changing figure and filmed most of her scenes early, while also somewhat changing her role of Storm.

5. Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts found out early on during the filming of Eastern Promises that she was pregnant and tried to hide it from her co-stars and crew members. That is, until the costume designer found out that the actress was no longer fitting in her outfits. The creators of the movie were understanding of the situation, and Watts continued to shoot in the role of a midwife.

6. Kate Middleton

The duchess has continued to attend royal engagements for most of all her 3 pregnancies. Although she suffered from hyperemesis and had to cancel a few public events over the years, Kate has always tried her best to make an appearance and often showed off her bump in public.

7. Christina Aguilera

While expecting her second child back in 2014, Christina Aguilera performed one of her songs while heavily pregnant. The singer also continued to work on a new album while she was pregnant.

8. Serena Williams

The tennis player found out that she was pregnant just before the start of the Australian Open in 2017. Instead of pulling out, Serena Williams went on to win the competition while 8 weeks pregnant.

9. Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington, who played Olivia Pope in Scandal for 6 years, had to hide her pregnancy during the filming of season 6. The crew did a great job at concealing the actress’s growing bump behind “behind flowers, behind Prada purses, and behind big coats and capes,” so that the script didn’t have to be altered.

10. Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot is another actress who had to hide her pregnancy for her most famous role. Godot filmed a few scenes for Wonder Woman while 5 months pregnant with her second daughter, Maya. Her baby bump was covered with a green fabric by the crew, so it could later be edited out of the movie.
