14 Strangers Who Did Something That Can’t Be Forgotten

At any moment, our lives can be unexpectedly transformed by a total stranger. Whether through a kind gesture, a heroic act, or something more perplexing and unsettling, some people we barely know end up leaving the most powerful impact on us. Even years or decades later, we vividly recall what they did or said, much like the people on our list today.

While strangers might be kind to each other, there is not a more generous and loving heart than that of a parent. The parents in this article should receive a medal of honor for having sacrificed their last drop of tears and sweat for their children’s sake.

I had walked down the hill to the dentist's surgery and he had frozen my face then found I had an infection in the tooth so he couldn't do the work on it. I was walking back up this steep hill feeling down when a woman in one of the gardens saw me looking at the rose bush she was working on. I said what a lovely perfect rose it was. The only bloom at the time. She cut it and gave it to me, then I said how much her kindness meant to me. I saw her a few times in neighbourhood meetings and she was on a trip to tour Parliament in London with me. I have always remembered how lovely that rose was.
II have seen this thread before - the one with the mum being a good mum I repeated on a bus watching a very young mum pour her love into her baby. Her face glowed when I actually said as I passed her getting off the bus.
