Have the emergency services number on speed dial for church so if someone next to you doesn’t know you , well it will save them dialling 3 numbers, just keep the lock of your phone n hand it to them and while you’re they’re ,minght aswell ask them to say a prayer for you!.(stay awake Saturday and Sunday so it feels like one long Saturday going on to Monday aswell) lol weird though

Back then it wasn’t as open minded , if it was and he wasn’t scared of his dad reaction then he won’t have had you with your mum. For you to know he’s only been with men since I’m guessing he didn’t just run away and abandon you?

Wow, that must of been hard , and your granny must of felt bad for you finding out that way, Mabye it would be nice for them to know that’s why you haven’t asked , like say you don’t need to know if it brings back too many bad memories but if they want to tell you about him you’ll be happy to listen

You could ask your mom if you were named after anyone special? A gentle nudge could open up a conversation.

That's a terrible thing to do to a old lady and then you fine out, its her mother!!! Plus, she never had any intention of paying her back!! Hopefully she is in therapy or was. That doesn't seem "normal" to me. I mean, how much do you have to dislike your mom to do that? Also, never to see them again? Yep, therapy time for grandma too.

This implies typical ignorance, even stupidity, of too many. This person posted implying if it cost nothing to raise them, because he stayed around raising them.

The person posting should have commended him for sticking around and raising a developmentally disabled child.

From what I've seen yes it costs money to raise kids. But if you leave you don't get that quality time with them and it may cost you more I. The long run especially if it goes to court. This one person was going to have to pay a lot because he brought a disruptive family member and the judge supposedly raised his payments higher for each outburst and in the end had to sign away his rights to keep from being broke.

It can actually cost a man more to divorce his wife, than to stay and financially support the kids. The mother usually gets the house, so the dad has to rent a place when he moves out. When my parents divorced, my dad had to work two jobs for a while because he suddenly had to pay rent and child support. The greater burden is losing the combined finances, and cost-saving advantages of co-habitation while raising children.

I knew a couple who did this because of financial issues. If they stayed married while her husband went into care, the carehome would take as much money as they can to cover his care leaving her with very little. If divorced they can't touch her money but can only use his pension and any other supplecments he has. She still visits and takes him places.

It used to be socially acceptable (and sometimes expected) for a mans brother to marry his widow. There is actually a reference to that practice in the Christian bible. I had a great aunt who married three brothers in a row. The first one died at the beginning of WWI. The second, younger, brother died in the war not long after she married him. The third brother/husband survived the war, and lived to his 90's. It did not seem to be a happy marriage. She told me once that the mean ones always live the longest, and he was really mean, so he would probably live forever. I felt really bad for her. She was always very sweet.
