In fact, it was revealed that he often changes his clothes five times a day. And it is noted by style experts that “He never follows trends, but still manages to look so stylish.”

He travels with his bed and toilet

An author, who was also Princess Diana’s trusted biographer, had mentioned that the Monarch travels with his own toilet seat, including when he’s on trips to close friends’ country homes. She also added that he takes with him his own orthopedic bed as well as two pictures of Scottish landscapes.

She wrote, “When he traveled to stay at friends’ country houses, a truck arrived the day before, bringing his bed, furniture, and even pictures.”

He loves to read Harry Potter

Just like millions all over the world, the King is also a big fan of the fantasy series, and it was reported that he enjoys reading the books to his wife Camilla’s grandchildren. The Queen consort has revealed “Sometimes, when we are with my husband in Scotland, he reads them Harry Potter,” she also added “And he does all the voices, because he is a brilliant mimic.”

No lunch

King Charles skips having lunch whenever he can. A former royal correspondent has noted, “Lunch is seen as a luxury that gets in the way of his work, so he eats a late breakfast and works through.”
As for breakfast, their former chef had revealed that the Royal enjoys fruit or a boiled egg. And on the weekends, he prefers to indulge in a treat of cheesy baked eggs.

He wrote a children’s book

The English king has written a book for kids called The Old Man of Lochnagar. The book was published in 1980 when he was in his early thirties. It seems that he previously used to tell this story to entertain his younger brothers Prince Andrew and Prince Edward when they were little. The tale was also adapted into an animated short-film.

He’s very hard-working

The people who are closest to the Monarch and share his everyday life confirm that he loves to stay busy and productive. A Royal editor and commentator has revealed “He’s an absolute workaholic” adding “he never stops.” As a matter of fact, in 2019 alone he had completed 521 engagements, including 145 official visits, ceremonies, sports, concerts, and charity events.

Passion for organic farming

He is known to have been an advocate for organic farming for a long time now, and owned a farm for 35 years. Produce from the farm was even used to start a brand named Waitrose Duchy Organic, which sells in supermarkets. However, it was revealed in 2020 that the then Prince was not going to renew the lease for his farm. He couldn’t commit to another 20 years of farming because he had to prepare to become the next monarch.

He is a talented painter

The monarch’s creative side also extends to painting, which he described as “one of the most relaxing and therapeutic exercises I know.” He explained that this hobby “refreshes parts of the soul which other activities can’t reach.” In fact, King Charles has admitted to having started painting after “experiencing an overwhelming urge” to express what he saw through the medium of watercolor.

And it seems that this is more than just a pastime and that the King has already found success in this art field. In fact, his watercolor collection of landscapes around the world had been exhibited several times.
