A Mom Gets Criticized for “Inappropriate” Dance With 7-Year-Old Daughter

Coco Austin, rapper Ice-T’s wife, is being called out for a video she shared online of herself dancing with her daughter. In the clip, the mother and daughter duo can be seen dancing and having fun, but some people pointed out that some dance moves might be inappropriate for the young kid.

The 44-year-old momma shared the clip on her Instagram.

Revealing that she often dances with her daughter Chanel, Coco captioned the video, “Chanel always makes me do these weird dances I just go with it. I stole this from her phone to show you. Lol.” In the clip, they can be seen dancing to a remixed version of Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow, wearing similar outfits.

Concerned moms were quick to leave a comment.

In one part of the dance routine, Coco lifts her leg toward 7-year-old Chanel, who attempts to smack her mother’s buttocks twice. While the video received mixed reactions from fans, some viewers believed the dance moves were inappropriate for children.

She also shared a video of her daughter twerking.

In some other videos Coco shares, her daughter can be seen twerking and having a good time. Surrounded by her mother and friends, a confident Chanel twerks as the women clap and cheer for her.

“The adults in our family were doing a TikTok and Chanel runs out in the middle to bust a move to make us laugh... She loves to joke,” Coco shared along with the video while calling her daughter her “Bestie” in another video. They were met with criticism too.

“SMH just whyyyy, this is not okay !” one comment read. "Teaching your baby how to "twerk"😣☹️sad," said another.

Coco has made headlines for her unusual parenting before.

Last year, the momma caught the media’s attention for bathing her daughter in a kitchen sink. The video she shared showed Chanel comfortably seated in the sink, engrossed in her tablet before heading out with her mother.

Responding to the critics, Coco let her voice be heard, “People, you gotta know by now that I’m an unconventional mother. I do what works and is easier on me.”

Coco also previously revealed that she was still breastfeeding her daughter when she was over five years old and loved the bond they shared.
