How terribly sad. I wish them the best and hope that she has success with her treatments. They look like a beautiful young family and need all the luck they can get. Sending thoughts of strength, courage, and peace, to them.
After a Devastating Cancer Diagnosis, the Soccer Star Marries His Partner in a Dreamy Ceremony

Stage 4 cancer was not enough to prevent Kellie Finlayson, 27, from marrying the love of her life, soccer star Jeremy Finlayson. The young couple, who are parents to a 19-month-old daughter, tied the knot in a dreamy, intimate ceremony in order to celebrate their love that proves to be stronger than life’s most gruesome challenges.
The beautiful bride, her 6’4″ athlete beau, and 21 of their loved ones celebrated this magical day on a beach in South Australia. They were supposed to get married last October, but the ceremony was postponed due to Kellie Finlayson’s health condition.
Finlayson, who is a model, was first diagnosed with bowel cancer at 25, just 3 and a half months after giving birth to the couple’s daughter, Sophia.
The young woman then underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and surgeries, and her doctors were hopeful that her cancer was gone for good. But in January, she received the heartbreaking news that it had spread to her lungs.
Despite it all, the lovebirds insisted on making their union official, and Finlayson admitted, ’’I wanted to get married with my hair and I have started losing hair.’’
They were set to make the event a low-key, private affair that was ’’a surprise for everyone but our bridal party and family and friends attending.’’
They prepared the wedding in just 3 weeks’ time thanks to the help of the bridal party and Finlayson’s modeling agency.
And despite a little rain in the morning, the ceremony ended up being an enchanting day for everyone,
with the sun coming out as the beaming bride walked down the aisle.
Kellie and Jeremy Finlayson are planning to have a bigger ceremony in October, as they are hoping for the bride to win her battle against the disease.
They also have set their minds on raising awareness about bowel cancer in young people, given that most folks tend to think that it’s an illness reserved for older individuals.
We wish this wonderful couple and their daughter a future filled with only positivity and smiles.
