Emily Ratajkowski Explains Why Being a Strong Woman Has Caused Her to Have a Challenging Love Life

We can’t argue that Emily Ratajkowski is one of today’s most influential and accomplished women. But even though she’s been hugely successful in her professional life, the 31-year-old seems to have a tough time when it comes to her love life.

In July 2022, Emily split from her husband of 4 years, Sebastian Bear-McClard, with whom she shares a 1-year-old boy named Sylvester. After her divorce, the 31-year-old was shortly linked to Brad Pitt, and in November 2022 she briefly dated Pete Davidson, followed by a couple of other romances that didn’t last very long.

As for her professional life, the model and actress is her own boss, who even wrote a book and has her very own podcast. And it was during one of the latest episodes of her show that Emily opened up about the ’’unfair’’ ways being an independent woman can affect your personal life.

Ratajkowski explains that her being a strong and independent person might be an appealing trait for her partners at first, however she notices that they quickly start to change their mind because her independence can be intimidating.

Moreover, the young woman who once hinted that she might be bisexual, explained that she can understand the idea of ’’dating women’’ instead. And that being with a woman could make the issues she’s facing with her relationships less challenging.

As for now, it seems that Emily is in no rush to enter yet another relationship. In a recent interview, she revealed that she is loving being single. She noted, ’’I’m kind of enjoying the freedom of not being super worried about how I’m being perceived.’’

She also explained that she now refuses to put up with what she used to in the past. She also made it clear that now, her only priority is her son Sylvester. Ratajkowski insists, ’’I don’t owe anything to anybody — other than my son, that’s the only man.’’
