Jennifer Lopez Is Being Criticized for a Video She Posted Online, Here’s Why

Jennifer Lopez is getting hit with a wave of negative reactions due to a clip she recently posted on social media. The comment section of the post was quickly filled with people claiming the actress wasn’t being genuine or truthful.

The video has been viewed over 5 million times.

In a seemingly harmless Instagram video where the 54-year-old actress shows her morning skincare routine, Lopez says she’s “barefaced, with no makeup.” Although that wasn’t disputed by her followers on Instagram, what she said next and emphasized on the caption of the footage was. “There are no filters and no retouching on this video,” she claimed before waving goodbye to the camera.

Her words were quickly met with heavy criticism by people in the comments. “She looks fantastic. Younger than 54 but there is definitely a filter on that video,” one user said. “I’ve seen other pictures of her, and it looks different than this video. Not saying she doesn’t look fabulous, but this is a bit misleading.”

That thought is shared by many others, who also accuse the singer of having had cosmetic procedures done, which would in part explain why she looks so good at age 54. However, Lopez has previously denied getting any sort of plastic surgery or procedure done. “For the 500 millionth time, I have never done Botox or any other injectables or surgery!” she stated once on Instagram to a follower.
