Kourtney Kardashian Reveals She Almost Lost Her Baby, Needed URGENT Fetal Surgery

The expecting mother-to-be, Kourtney Kardashian, shared the detailed account of a recent health emergency that almost cost her baby boy’s life. The reality star and her husband, Travis Barker, had been struggling to have a child up until Kourtney announced her long-awaited pregnancy in June. Unfortunately, the couple was unaware that their struggles weren’t entirely over.

Travis Barker hinted at a family emergency a few days prior.

On September 1st, the Blink-182 drummer alluded to an “urgent family matter” when he cancelled his band’s UK and Ireland concert dates. The very next day, it was discovered that Kourtney was rushed to the hospital, which made some people believe she was going into labor. Later that Saturday, both Kardashian and Barker were seen exiting the hospital, with the reality star still being pregnant.

A source said that Kourtney was “back home now with her kids,” and assured that “she is feeling better. She is happy to have Travis back home too.” Still, the situation caused serious concern as to what could’ve caused such a series of events and why it was treated as an emergency.

Kourtney sheds light on her serious health scare.

A few days after the scary weekend situation, Kardashian took to Instagram to clear the air and share what had happened. Kourtney revealed that she had to undergo an urgent fetal surgery and that the doctors literally fought for her baby’s life. She said Travis and her mom, Kris Jenner, were by her side the entire time.

The reality star added that nothing could’ve prepared her for such a terrifying event as she has never experienced issues with her previous babies: “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery.”

Barker also addressed the situation on social media by expressing gratitude for everyone’s concern and also confirmed that Kourtney and the baby were completely safe: “I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well. I want to say thank you for all the support.”
