I can't imagine people being so cruel to a woman having triplets. Of course her stomach is going to be larger than normal. I just feel bad for her, but so glad that she didn't let it bother her. Their babies are precious. Congrats to her and her family.
Mom of Triplets Plays It Cool After Being Body-Shamed for Her Huge Belly
Brittany Schneider’s TikTok pregnancy update went viral as she prepared to welcome triplets in April. The emotional video, posted on the morning of her C-section, garnered millions of views and comments, with people expressing astonishment at the size of her baby bump. Despite the unexpected attention, Schneider embraced her body’s transformation with grace and positivity.
The comments varied from supportive and amusing, to downright offensive, and Schneider recalls the overwhelming reaction, sharing some of the remarks she received: “Your bump looks like a mansion,” “How many babies are in there?” and “No way is that real.”
The unbelievable comments included gems like “She’s giving birth to a grown-up,” “Babies got a penthouse,” and “Bro is pregnant with the colossal titan.” The unexpected response left Schneider surprised but unperturbed: “For me, I saw my stomach every day, and I got used to the way it looked. Now looking back at the video I’m like, ’Yep. I was huge,’” she explains.
Embracing the journey and overcoming body image struggles.
Schneider’s pregnancy journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing when it comes to body image. During her first pregnancy, she faced challenges with accepting her new body, but with the triplets, she knew that significant changes were inevitable from the start.
She shares, “I wanted to embrace the experience. I didn’t want to be too hard on myself.” So, this time around, she made a conscious decision to embrace the experience and be kinder to herself.
The joyous arrival of three little angels.
On April 28, Brittany and her husband joyfully welcomed identical twin daughters, Andee and Georgia, along with son Theodore. Born prematurely, the babies had to spend time in the NICU, but they are now thriving and doing well.
Schneider, filled with gratitude, cherishes the moment and appreciates no longer being pregnant, having shed 37 pounds since giving birth. As she reflects on her journey, she humorously mentions the relief of no longer being asked about her due date and the countless nightly trips to the bathroom.
Pregnancy and childbirth are marvels of nature, showcasing the incredible capabilities of the human body. From the moment of conception to the growth and development of a tiny life within, the entire process never ceases to amaze us.
