Continuing the streak of unfortunate divorces this year, British actress and model Jodie Turner-Smith has filed for divorce from her husband, actor Joshua Jackson. The couple always made news for how lovingly they supported each other. Here’s everything we know so far about their divorce.

The couple was happily married for three years.

Their relationship began when Jodie and Joshua met at a birthday celebration in 2018, and things progressed swiftly. They became engaged just a few months later when Jodie proposed to him and secretly married in 2019.

Although there were breakup rumors in September 2022 when they unfollowed each other on Instagram, they appeared together as a couple at the Oscars in March and dismissed them.

Jodie filed for divorce, asking for joint custody.

Jodie Turner-Smith has initiated the process to end her marriage with Joshua Jackson by filing for divorce. She has cited “irreconcilable differences” as a reason to divorce and is seeking joint custody of their three-year-old daughter, Juno.

There was no prenup in place.

Jodie has also expressed her desire to exclude any requests for spousal support from both herself and Joshua but demanded he pay her attorney’s fees. The couple officially separated on September 13, which is odd considering Jodie shared photos with her husband on Instagram just a few days before and were spotted out holding hands just one day prior.

Joshua is yet to comment on their divorce.
