“I Understand It, but My Heart Hurts,” J. Lo’s Kids Don’t Want to Talk to Her Anymore and the Nannies Would Quit Within a Week

Jennifer Lopez opened up about her experience as a mom and shared her challenges of raising teens. Obviously, she wants the best for her children, however, there’s always something parents aren’t ready for. For instance, when they don’t want to talk to you. Even the celebrity mom has experienced it too.

J. Lo is a mom of twins.

Jennifer welcomed her daughter Emme Maribel Muñiz and son Maximilian “Max” David Muñiz in 2008. At the time, she was married to an American singer and actor Mark Anthony. They tied the knot in 2004 and 7 years later separated. There were many issues in their relationship, and even though J. Lo tried to keep the marriage alive, in 2014 the couple filed for divorce.

She’s demanding when it comes to nannies.

Even though Jennifer is ready to pay a huge amount of money, she struggled with finding a nanny. The star wanted someone who could work 16-hour days, 7 days a week without a break. Besides, she also wanted only one nanny to take care of both children. In the end, all the nannies quit within a week because of such unbearable working conditions.

Her kids don’t like her fame.

Lopez says, “They love having a famous mother and they don’t. I think they’re very proud. They love me, I love them.”

Once she wanted to go to the market with her twins, but they replied, “It’s such a thing when you go, Mom,” which really hurt her feelings. She also says the kids want time with their friends when they aren’t being watched, followed, and photographed.

They don’t want to talk to her anymore.

J. Lo explains her 15-year-old twins’ behavior, “It’s all necessary, and intellectually, I understand it, but my heart, my heart hurts.”

She also mentions that her kids don’t think she’s as cool as her fans do. She reveals, “I’m a very affectionate mom. I like to hug them and kiss them a lot, always talking to them sweet and everything. Now they’re like, ’Mom, no. Don’t get out of the car at school.’”

The new marriage was also challenging.

Jennifer recollects that her new marriage to Ben Affleck was difficult for her kids. She mentioned that it was necessary to handle it carefully, “The transition is a process that needs to be handled with so much care. They have so many feelings. They’re teens. But it’s going really well so far.”

J. Lo is a wonderful mom who openly shares her parenting journey. Other celebrities are also willing to reveal the details about their family life. For example, Madonna, who raised a humble daughter with her controlling parenting style.
