step 6 is nonsense: brown skin have no use for sunscreen, google it, if you don't believe me.
A Woman Shares a Photo of Her Smooth Skin on Reddit and Everyone Is Amazed — Here Is Her Skin Care Routine
Flawless skin is one of those unreachable goals that almost every woman wants, and this girl’s got it. After uploading 2 selfies on Reddit, Michele Manteaw went viral with thousands of people that were amazed by her soft and smooth skin. Naturally, we became curious as to how she achieved this (and we know you will be too). So we decided to see what her skin care routine was and share it with you.
Bright Side presents one of the internet’s most commented on skincare routines.
The picture that sparked hundreds of questions
A woman from the UK just went viral after posting her glowy makeup tutorial on Reddit. Michele Manteaw uploaded 2 selfies on her post titled, “Glowy Winter Makeup on Dark Skin” and her facial skin looks so naturally smooth and glowy that it caught the attention of more than 17,000 people who upvoted the post and more than 300 who started to ask questions and comment on her looks.
No, it’s not photoshop, and no, it’s not a filter either.
Many will say that she’s simply using a photo filter or that she edited the selfie, but that is not the case. Michele, who is originally from Ghana, is a makeup enthusiast and YouTuber known as MelaninMichie who shares beauty and fashion tutorials. You can watch Michie, as she likes to be called, in her DIY hair mask tutorials, videos on how to achieve healthy-looking skin, and guides to create the perfect makeup. But we know what you’re thinking: How on earth can her skin be so smooth?! We’ll tell you how.
MelaninMichie’s Skin Care Routine
Step 1: First, she washes her face with a gentle clarifying cleanser while lightly massaging and exfoliating her face with a non-abrasive silicone facial brush. Though gentle, she swears the brush perfectly cleanses her face.
Step 2: She then preps her skin with a facial toner to help it absorb products and enhance its circulation.
Step 3: Michie revitalizes her skin with a hyaluronic acid serum. It locks moisture inside her skin!
Step 4: Lips. She takes care of them by applying a moisturizing lip balm with at least SPF 15.
Step 5: Now it’s time to moisturize and nourish her entire face. She says this is key even for oily skin because, “oily skin can sometimes be dry skin trying to overcompensate for its dryness, thus making excess oil.” She does this by mixing some vitamin C drops and a natural moisturizer.
Step 6: She ends her routine by protecting her skin with an SPF 50+ light sunscreen.
Step 7: While doing this daily, she also shared that she likes to use sheet masks from Korea twice a week.
Final tip: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drink lots of water. Hydrated skin is healthy skin. And maybe you want to test cutting out dairy as much as you can, Michele says, for her, it was life-changing.
What to keep in mind
There you have it. She takes care of her skin by exfoliating, cleansing, nourishing, moisturizing, and protecting it. You can do it too, just remember that if you’d like to make some changes in your skin care routine, it’s always a good idea to take into account your skin type and test out products beforehand. Her skin looks flawless. No wonder people on Reddit were asking her if she was an angel and calling her gorgeous.
What is your secret for flawless skin? Do you think nourishing creams, SPF, and serums are more effective than keeping your skin hydrated by drinking water? Tell us your theories in the comment section!

we use sun screen to protect it from cancer.
"Although melanin does give darker skin tones some sun protection, it's not enough to prevent skin cancer. Not to mention,“With cumulative sun exposure you can see increased fine lines, decreased elasticity, and discoloration," says dermatologist Dr. Meena Singh, MD, which means everyone should wear broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. The trouble is, so many leave a white cast."
Actually there are also a few cons to wearing sunscreen all the time. Buildup of harmful elements is noticed in blood of people who use sunscreen very often. I don't use sunscreen very often, I very much love the sun and I spend quite some time on the sun, I'm caucasian and I don't have skin cancer. If you don't protect yourself no sunscreen will protect you. Best protection from harmful sun radiation is to avoid exposure when radiation is most harmful. So just don't go out in the sun from 11am to 5pm and you don't need sunscreen. You will not get better tan if you fry yourself on the sun in the noon.
Well, I read about this as well. I read about an experiment - people had to wear sunscreen every day and others didn't. At the end of the experiment doctors found out that too much sunscreen changes the formula of blood.
Though I think it's still needed to use it during extremely hot summer periods

I have opened for myself the whole world of face acids. I use them as peelings and also to remove acne. My face looks way better now.
I like her advice, but I think face treatment is still very personal, and we all need to add some special products that are suitable for us only
acids are really cool for the skin. I have opened The Ordinary for myself, their acids healed my skin!
What is her daily facial routine? Its called being BLACK. If man aint gonna bless us then the GOOD LORD will. The darker your skin the smoother it is. Melanin is Everythin. Real Talk!
