“Supernatural” Is Ending After 15 Years. Here’s How Its Stars Have Changed Since Their First Season

The world was first introduced to Supernatural in 2005 and got hooked instantly. Eventually, we started feeling like a part of the Winchester clan and every character felt like a good old friend. The show’s massive success allowed it to run for well over a decade, but even great things can’t last forever. This year, we’ll be saying goodbye to a big part of our lives with grateful hearts and, let’s be honest, a few tears in our eyes.

Bright Side thought that before bidding farewell to our favorite characters, we should dip our toes in the show’s past and remember how its actors looked when we first saw them.

1. Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester)

First appearance: Season 1.

2. Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester)

First appearance: Season 1.

3. Jeffrey Dean Morgan (John Winchester)

First appearance: Season 1.

4. Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer)

First appearance: Season 1.

5. Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester)

First appearance: Season 1.

6. Misha Collins (Castiel)

First appearance: Season 4.

7. Mark Sheppard (Crowley)

First appearance: Season 5.

8. Kim Rhodes (Jody Mills)

First appearance: Season 5.

9. Mark Pellegrino (Lucifer)

First appearance: Season 5.

10. Felicia Day (Charlie Bradbury)

First appearance: Season 7.

Bonus: Ruth Connell might’ve learned an eternal youth spell from her character Rowena.

First appearance: Season 10.

When did you start watching Supernatural? Are you going to miss the show?

It took me a while to get into watching Supernatural, but when i did i was hooked! I am one of those people who always catches up after the hype is over! As for the show Supernatural itself, the hype will never be gone! Carry on my Wayward Sons! Supernatural rules!

I started watching in Season 2, I happened to catch Roadkill and was instantly hooked. I had the first season on DVD by the end of the week and I've never looked back. Supernatural has helped me get through losing my mom after a two year battle against cancer, and my dad remarrying less than a year later. It was a refuge while I lived on friends couches and relied on their kindness while I struggled to find my first job and save enough to rent. I'll miss it, but I've gotten two of my best friends hooked on it in the past year and we binge it every week. It's been a blast revisiting the early seasons through their eyes and picking up things I didn't catch the first time around. (Go rewatch The Monster at the End of the Book - I DIED when Chuck blithely announced he's their God, then had to cover when my friend innocently asked why I just shrieked at the tv.)I have all the seasons and I can say with absolute certainty that this is one of the few shows I'll rewatch over and over again.

It also taught me an immensely valuable lesson: never leave your BBQ fork sitting in your drainboard.

I had watched "Dean" on other shows before Supernatural, and liked him then, but when he started on Supernatural and he and Sam became brothers hunting monsters together it was really enjoyable. The way the story started was really sad, but there's been really good times, bad times, sad times, and then again starting over exhilarating times, when they find each other and come together again after defeating some Demon, or some evil spirit in hell. I've watched it from the beginning, and it seems like I've watched them grow up, I'm going to miss the show very much, and all the characters, but mostly, Sam, Dean, Castiel, Jack, and Bobby, I think those were my favorites,( and Baby, of course), hope you enjoy life after the show, and that whatever they do next, they enjoy it as much as they did Supernatural. I have all the episodes, so I'll always be able to go back and watch it whenever I want to, which I've already done several times from the beginning already. Thank you for 15 seasons of pure Bliss, and thank you for all the enjoyment that you have given people over the years, love to all the people that had anything to do with such a wonderful show, stay safe, and God bless! Don't fear the reaper!!!
