Why Robert Pattinson Changed His Hygiene Habits After Never Washing His Hair
Some time ago, Robert Pattinson revealed he didn’t care much about his hygiene and could leave his hair unwashed for weeks. He opened up about how it was okay for him, but even so, he had to start washing it again for some reason.
In the interview from 2012, Pattinson revealed, “I just wear a hat a lot. I have so much residue crap in my hair from years and years and years of not washing it and not having any sense of personal hygiene whatsoever. Even today, I go into these things where I’m supposed to be this sexy guy or whatever, and I’m literally asking [the studio rep] if I get plumes of dandruff on me, can you just brush it off.”
He also explained, “If you don’t wash it for 6 weeks, you won’t have to wash it ever again until it gets unbearable.”
Sources even revealed that he had problems while filming the Twilight saga because of his habits, saying, “He stinks. I mean, it’s awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy.”
The only person who was totally fine with his smell was his ex, Kristen Stewart. “He smells great,” said the actress. “It’s kind of an animalist thing that goes on. It went along with the movie, so it was perfect.”
Time passed and Pattinson eventually went on to say that he’s different today and prefers to take care of himself. “I can’t tell if it’s because of my association with Dior or because I’m older, but I’ve started moisturizing. It’s been a quite profound change in my life.”
Pattinson can’t believe how much he has changed, but he likes his new self and the feeling of luxury, explaining, “I never would have thought I would be wearing chiffon, silk, and satin.”
