10 Jobs Royals Would Love to Do If They Were Not Serving the Monarchy
Being a royal is a challenging feat. They must adhere to century-old customs, norms, and sophisticated protocols. When Royals are children, they are already destined to serve the monarch. On the other hand, these royalties also have thoughts and dreams of what they wish to be if given the chance.
At Bright Side, we compiled a list of Royal members who revealed what they would like to be if they were not serving the monarch.
1. Prince William
The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, is the second in line to the throne. It was mentioned in a book that he wishes to become a policeman in order to protect his mother. The source claims that whenever Princess Diana felt troubled, Prince William was always there for her comfort.
2. Prince George
Back at Christmas, Prince William was given a handwritten list for Santa Claus on his son’s behalf, Prince George of Cambridge. He only listed one item which was that he wanted a police car. Prince William revealed that “George is obsessed, actually, by the police cars, toys, everything.”
3. Kate Middleton
A royal author reportedly revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, had set her sights on a fashion idea that she thought would be a triumph. It’s also been stated that she wants to work with her parents to create her own line of children’s clothing.
4. Princess Diana
Diana, Princess of Wales loved to dance and when she was a child she aspired to be a ballerina. Princess Diana and Prince Charles were at a charity banquet at an opera theatre in 1985, about halfway through the event she slipped out to join the ballet dancer and secretly choreographed “Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl” and wowed the audience.
5. Prince Philip
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, began a successful naval career when he joined Dartmouth Naval College and graduated as a top cadet, he also met his future wife, the then Princess Elizabeth. He is so enamored with the sea and becoming a serviceman that he continues to be involved with the seas and the royal navy, even later in his life.
6. Prince Charles
The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, has long been involved in the environment. He has been farming on his 900-acre Gloucestershire getaway, Highgrove, since 1985. He grows organic produce for the Waitrose Duchy Organic brand, and the location is open to the public. He revealed that gardening for him is “the most therapeutic business.”
7. Camilla
Before becoming the Duchess of Cornwall and becoming the wife of Prince Charles, Camilla started her adulthood by working as a secretary in different firms in London. Then, was later employed as a receptionist by a decorating firm.
8. Sophie
Sophie, Countess of Wessex, worked on Capital Radio in 1996 before opting to become committed to becoming a royal, and founded her own public relations firm called RJH Public Relations with her business partner. Years later, her career came to an end, and she became a full-time royal.
9. Princess Anne
An interviewer revealed that if Anne, Princess Royal’s second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip had not become a royal she would have been an engineer. She said, “I’ve certainly enjoyed being part of trying to encourage more girls to look at engineering as a realistic career.”
10. Princess Charlotte
A source revealed that Princess Charlotte of Cambridge informed her parents that she wants to be a nurse. Her parents, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, said “She’s such a caring little girl who also knows what she wants, so they wouldn’t be surprised if she does take on nursing as one of her big causes when she’s older.”
