13 Former Child Stars Who We Watched Grow Up Are Turning 30 in 2023
There are some actors who we associate with roles they played when they were really young, so they are always children in our minds. However, time flies fast, and now some of these actors are about to turn 30 years old. Let’s see how much they’ve changed from the images we have of them in our heads.
1. Ariana Grande turns 30 in June.
The superstar singer started her acting career in 2009, and she was perhaps most memorable on the Nickelodeon show, Victorious, which ran from 2010 to 2013.
2. Debby Ryan turns 30 in May.
She is famous for appearing in a number of Disney Channel shows when she was a teenager, including Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place, and The Suite Life on Deck. These days, she is starring on the TV show, The Resort.
3. Miranda Cosgrove turns 30 in May.
At age 16, she was the highest-paid child actor for acting in the Nickelodeon show, iCarly. These days, the show made a comeback after nearly a decade of being off-air, with Cosgrove reprising her role as Carly Shay.
4. Lucas Cruikshank turns 30 in August.
He created the character Fred by himself when he was 13 years old and gained massive popularity on YouTube. This led to him starring in a show on Nickelodeon as Fred Figglehorn. These days, Cruikshank is back to being a YouTuber, with his channel having over 3 million subscribers.
5. Keke Palmer turns 30 in August.
She has been active in the industry since 2002, with one of her most memorable projects being True Jackson, VP. These days, she is doing mostly voice acting work, she has her own podcast Baby, This Is Keke Palmer. She has also announced that she is pregnant with her first child.

We remember him as a kid, playing Eustace Scrubb in The Chronicles of Narnia. This year, we can expect to see him in the Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, playing the character Adam Warlock.

She is best known for starring as the protagonist’s daughter, Alexis, on ABC’s Castle. She was only 15 years old when the show first aired. She is still continuing her acting career and even starred alongside her on-screen dad, Nathan Fillion, on his new show, The Rookie.

The Australian actress is best known for her role in the children’s television series, Mortified, and she also went on to do many projects in the US, including the TV show, The Fosters. It received a spin-off called Good Trouble, which also had Mitchell starring as Callie. The show is still on the air.
13. Taylor Momsen turns 30 in July.
The adorable Cindy Lou Who from How the Grinch Stole Christmas grew up into Taylor Momsen, the singer of the band, The Pretty Reckless. She also did some acting work while she was in her teens, most notably starring as Jenny on Gossip Girl, but since then, she has retired and is now focused solely on her music.
