Well... if one's travelling with companions and leaves the room without taking a key because they know the companions will let him in... Last one could still be a legit case of guy forgetting where the heck he lives, and not some kind of a snoopy figure milling around. Just saying, there are cases when one CAN knock on "their own" door!
