Sometimes, a random encounter with a stranger can be remembered for many years. • I’m riding a bus, a guy sits down next to me and tries the usual pickup line, “Miss, does your mom need a son-in-law?” So I tell him, “No, thanks.” We sit there silently.
  Then suddenly, a deep voice says from behind, “What about a husband?” I turn around to see it’s a man around 40 years old. I smile and tell him, “Thanks, my mom is taken.”

• I’m sitting and having lunch at the business center cafeteria while also working on an Excel table. I’m not very good at it.
  So I’m just minding my own business when a guy, about 25 years old, approaches me and says, “If you continue to make the table this way, it’ll take you about 10 years. I can do it in 5 minutes.” He showed me and taught me.

• We once had an incident. An old lady brought in a cat for spaying. She said the fluffy one was driving her nuts, bringing in kittens every month! We explained to her that it’s impossible. She insisted, “No! She brings new ones every month!”
  So, we gave the cat anesthesia, got ready to shave the belly, and then saw it was actually a male! We said, “Maybe you brought the wrong pet, ma’am?” And she responded, “No, I only have one female cat.”

• I walked into my favorite little shop yesterday, where I buy flatbreads. The vendor asks, “Will you wait for the hottest one?” I say, “I will.”
  A few minutes later, the vendor gives me the hottest flatbread. I’m like, “Oh, what did you give me? I’m going to burn up!” The vendor takes the flatbread back and starts waving it in the air to cool it down faster. I’m laughing, the vendor’s laughing, the entire line is smiling. • While walking after getting my hair styled, I pass by 2 girls. At some point, one of them says to her friend, “That’s a beautiful girl.” I automatically turned around to see who they were talking about, but there was no one else there. That’s when I realized they were looking at me.

  The cashier announced the total. His face dropped, eyes darting. And then she laughs this wonderful laughter and says to him, “No worries, I’ll pay myself.” She had that expensive perfume that cost a fortune.

• Last year, on my birthday, I decided to treat myself and stop and grab some coffee before school. I ordered my coffee, but before they could get the next customer’s order, they told me that my card was declined. I try again, but to no avail. Now my drink is ready, and I can’t pay, and a line is forming.

As we drove, he was telling me some story about how he went fishing the other day, asked what music I’d like to listen to, and then at a stoplight, he suddenly fell silent and stared at me strangely through the rearview mirror.

• I thought things like this only happened online, but it happened to me! Evening time, my husband in a hoodie with a gloomy face and our little ones were standing under the snow, waiting for me. I come out, the kids run to me, the husband silently trudges behind.
  A sporty-looking guy with a shopping bag walked past us, then stopped, looked at us, returned and said, “Miss, I’ll walk next to you.” I’m a bit confused and ask, “Why?” Then I turn to my husband and say, “So, what do we need to buy?” And the guy goes, “Oh, you’re together.”
