7 Celebrities Showed Us How Parenthood Has Changed Their Outlook on Life

Once couples decide to have children, everything gradually starts to change from that day forward. After giving birth, life alters both physically and mentally, but in a sweet way. Research shows that pregnancy changes a woman’s size and structure of the brain when it comes to understanding the thoughts, beliefs, and intentions of other people.

1. Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid’s pregnancy with baby Khai helped her realize that she needed to take a turn with her career. “You can’t model forever. I was creative and that is where I saw my life going. I think pregnancy just made me think about how much more settled I would feel to have an office space job. I can take my daughter there with me.”

She also shared that she wants to raise her daughter on the farm that she owns in Pennsylvania rather than in a big city, such as Los Angeles or New York. This is because the nature and greenery on the farm are what made her feel centered as a child, and Hadid believes that it’s important for her daughter to explore different interests as she did.

2. Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway feels more confident about her body after having a baby. 8 weeks after giving birth to her son, Jonathan, she feels like being a mom has changed her in more ways than one. “One of them is — not based on this moment, but other moments — I feel a lot more confident.” Before she was pregnant, she worked out at a gym and felt quite intimidated going there, but after having a baby, she felt so much better and self-assured.

3. Prince William

Prince William claimed that fatherhood has completely changed him in an emotional aspect. He has 3 children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. “I never used to get too wound up or worried about things. But now, the smallest little things, you well up a little more, you get affected by the sort of things that happen around the world or whatever a lot more, I think, as a father,” the prince shared.

He also opened up about having some anxieties as a father. “You realize how precious life is and it puts it all in perspective. The idea of not being around to see your children grow up and stuff like that.”

4. Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl has 3 children and a husband, and they’ve all made her feel like she’s “finally a legitimate grown-up.” She revealed that her family has changed her for the better, saying, “I have a deeper understanding about what really matters and whose opinion really matters. I’m not going to lie, I’m absolutely a neurotic actor. But I’m less atwitter, and I’m less defensive, and I’m less afraid of what everybody thinks about me.”

5. Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba is a mom to 2 beautiful girls and a son, and there is a never-ending cycle of looking for eco-friendly products for her home. That’s why she decided to base her career on non-toxic products for her house, including cleaning materials, diapers, and wipes.

Her company is called The Honest Company, and she says that she was very frustrated trying to find safer products that really worked for her children. Her favorite item is the diapers because “they have the cutest designs and patterns and they work better than any diaper I’ve ever tried before.”

6. Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani claims that “mom life” has made her become more organized.

“One thing the kids have taught me is how to be more organized. I lived at home until I was 26, then I had a tour manager, then a manager, then an assistant. On tour, you even have somebody who has the key to your hotel room. But as a mom, you have to be the one in charge,” Stefani explained.

7. Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie became a mom at a very young age, in her twenties, and she says that a scary moment with her son made her realize how important a mother’s role truly is. Her son, Maddox, had an injury when he was little, and Jolie became terrified, as she recalled, “I realized I had become the person that was always going to make everything okay, not the person that worries, that’s dramatic, that’s upset, that I have spent my whole life being in that darker space. It happens in a minute.”

Has your career and outlook changed after having a kid? What was your experience like?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children, despite their parents’ preference for a private life, are growing into their own unique identities. Maddox, the eldest, is studying in South Korea, while Pax has shown interest in photography. Zahara aspires to be a supermodel, Shiloh is an LGBTQ+ idol, and the twins, Knox and Vivienne, have already begun their acting careers.
