8 Female Celebrities Who Proposed to Their Future Husbands

If you have doubts about which present to give to your boyfriend, you can orchestrate a big surprise, like a proposal. Some female celebrities have done this and they don’t regret their choice. Modern women can be vulnerable and strong at the same time.
We at Bright Side respect women who make life decisions based on their own minds and hearts and we want to share 8 female celebs who were bold enough to propose by themselves.
1. Pink and Carey Hart
Pink was actually the one who proposed to her future husband Carey Hart in 2005. During the motocross championship, she wrote on a pit board, “Will you marry me?” Hart didn’t answer and kept on driving. Then the singer pulled up one more board “I’m serious!”
Carey turned off the track and headed to Pink to accept her offer.
2. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard
The way Kristen Bell proposed to Dax Shepard was romantic, inventive, and very modern. She did it just on Twitter: “@daxshepard1 will you marry me?”
His response was absolutely positive.
3. Jodie Turner-Smith and Joshua Jackson
During an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Joshua Jackson opened up about how he had decided to get married to Jodie Turner-Smith. Fallon asked, “Did you guys always know that you were going to get married?” Jackson surprised the interviewer with his answer, “I knew the moment she asked me! She asked me on New Year’s Eve. We’re in Nicaragua, it’s very beautiful, incredibly romantic, we’re walking down the beach and she asked me to marry her.”
Now Joshua admits that it was his best choice.
4. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline
The proposal was done by Britney in 2004 while they were flying from Ireland to New York City, “All of a sudden I said, ’What if you want to get married? And I kind of went from there to asking him if he would marry me.”
Kevin Federline was very surprised and impulsively said no, but then a couple of minutes he asked her.
5. Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller
Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and Barry Diller were dating for a long time but the proposal wasn’t happening. Then she had a great idea, "One year I didn’t know what to give him for his birthday, and I called him and said, “You know, if you want, for your birthday I’ll marry you.”
A week later they married and Barry gave her 26 wedding rings, for the 26 years they had not been married.
6. Judge Judy and Jerry Sheindlin
The famous Judge Judy confessed that she was the one who made her future husband Jerry agree to get married, “I did propose to him.”
Sometime later he finally capitulated and picked Flag Day as the day for the wedding.
7. Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga
5 months after David Otunga proposed to Jennifer Hudson on her 27th birthday, she gave a special present to her future husband. Jennifer arranged an encore proposal on Otunga’s birthday with a 5-carat engagement ring for him.
8. Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Wilding
Elizabeth Taylor had 7 husbands, but she’s only proposed to someone once. It was actor Michael Wilding and he accepted. Later they had 2 kids but eventually, they divorced.
