Adele Got Emotional While Doing a Couple’s Gender Reveal Live in Concert

Adele broke down in tears after helping a couple who was in the audience of her show find out the gender of their baby. The spontaneous interaction between the singer and her fans was captured on a must-watch video.

The couple caught Adele’s attention with a special sign.

On August 13, within the audience of Adele’s “Weekends with Adele” residency performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, were fans Chris and Shantelle Dare. They were holding up a sign that read: “Adele will you do our gender reveal?”

As soon as the singer noticed the sign, she invited them to the front of the stage and a heartwarming moment between the three of them unfolded. “No one’s really allowed signs in here. I’m just obsessed that you got one in,” Adele said right away, as seen in a clip shared on the couple’s social media that shows the entire interaction.

Prior to the anticipated gender reveal, the expectant mother shared with the singer and the public that she was already 18 weeks into her pregnancy. The Shantelle also said that she and her husband had obtained a sealed envelope containing their baby’s gender information at the 12-week mark, holding onto it with the intention of having Adele reveal the news.

Without much wait, Adele began opening the envelope. Seconds later, the announcement came: “Shantelle and Chris are having a baby boy!” Both the parents and the audience erupted in joy, which prompted the 35-year-old singer to get teary-eyed.

As Adele hugged the couple, she congratulated them. “That was amazing,” she said, trying to hold back the tears. “I’m so happy for you! I’m so happy for you! That’s so emotional, oh my God.”

“If and when I get pregnant will you do my gender reveal?” she jokingly asked the soon-to-be-mom.

On social media, the couple showed their gratitude towards Adele. “@adele you are amazing, and we will remember this night for the rest of our lives!” they captioned the video of the gender reveal on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Adele got emotional over an unexpected moment during one of her shows. At the start of 2023, Adele stopped her concert and broke down in tears after seeing something heartbreaking in the audience.
