Adele Refuses to Buy Expensive Gift for Son Angelo’s Birthday, Amid Her $182M Fortune
In October 2012, Adele welcomed a beautiful soul into the world, her son Angelo James. Adele shares her son with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. Although life took them on separate paths in 2019, their commitment to their beloved Angelo remained unwavering. The young boy now divides his time between homes in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Adele opened up on the birthday plans for her son during
a recent concert in Las Vegas.
Adele, the renowned singer with a fortune of $182 million, is taking a different approach to her son Angelo’s 11th birthday. Instead of extravagant gifts, she’s planning a whole week of celebrations. Amid her Las Vegas residency, Adele has been actively transitioning from her superstar persona to a dedicated party planner, ensuring her only son feels exceptionally cherished on his big day.
During a Las Vegas performance, Adele was excited about Angelo’s upcoming 11th birthday. The singer said, "From a very young age, he seems to have adopted the same point of view, which isn’t quite as fun. He is my son, and obviously, I adore him, and he is like "can I do this and do that.’ I am like, "that is very expensive. You are 11, shouldn’t we be having a tea party still? But you know eleven-year-olds in 2023 are like going on 25?
“He is more savvy in every way than I am, and I ever have been or ever will be. That is my week, so I guess my update next week will be being a bullied mother, probably,” Adele playfully remarked.
Once, during one of her concerts, Adele had a genuinely touching moment.
Adele shared how she’s looking for baby names. She said, “I’ve actually been writing lists. So every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone.”
Someone asked her if she liked the name Spencer or Parker better. Adele mentioned that her boyfriend, Rich Paul, also thinks about baby names. Adele said, “I can’t say Parker because Rich likes that name!” She laughed about it.
“I really want to be a mom again soon,” she said.
Recently, Adele got really emotional during one of her shows. A couple in the audience asked her to help reveal the gender of their unborn baby, and Adele happily agreed.
In a video that went viral online, Adele announced that the couple was having a baby boy. She started crying and asked them to do something nice for her someday in return. This has led to some speculation that Adele might be thinking about having another baby, too.
In a June 2022 interview, Adele’s boyfriend, Paul, talked about the idea of having “more kids.” He’s already a father to three children, and he reflected on how the experience might be different now that he’s a bit older.
“As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough,” he told, referring to his sports agency. “But now looking as an older dad and my kids being much older, and obviously, if I was to have more kids... I’m looking forward to being a different dad, a more patient dad.”
Adele’s candid words remind us that, despite her global stardom, her greatest role is one she cherishes offstage — being a loving and devoted mother. In a world where fame often overshadows the personal, Adele’s genuine approach to motherhood is a reminder of the timeless importance of family and the beauty of a mother’s love.
