Meet Blue, the Dog Who Saved a Baby Girl From a Fire

In a heartwarming incident in Detroit, a brave dog named Blue rescued a one-year-old baby named Chantal from a devastating house fire. The fire broke out in a multifamily unit, and this intelligent canine quickly became a superhero, springing into action to save the day.

Chantal was trapped in her playpen as flames and thick smoke engulfed the building. However, the family’s rescue Blue, sprang into action. He alerted firefighters and then courageously led them back to the baby’s location, ultimately saving her life.

Janet Kelly, Blue’s owner, adopted him from an animal shelter two years ago after he had been living on the streets. She expressed her admiration for Blue’s bravery, stating, “Blue went running back into the house because he knew Chantal, my youngest, was in her playpen.”

Fortunately, Kelly’s other three children were with her fiancé and not present during the fire. However, the family faced a difficult situation after losing their home and belongings. Kelly, unable to find shelter due to her pets, had to live in her van with her four children, aged 9, 7, 4, and 1.

To seek support, she created a GoFundMe campaign explaining their ordeal and the loss they endured. The response from the public was overwhelming, with many generous donations, including a significant contribution from someone named Kristen Bell.

In just a short time, the GoFundMe campaign raised an impressive total of $97,694. Kelly expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the supporters and stated that they no longer require further donations. With the funds raised, she intends to secure a new home for her family.
