How Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Paid Tribute to a Woman Who Carried Their Child

Teigen and Legend have kept the news of their fourth baby a total secret. The couple revealed that they welcomed a baby boy only five months after the birth of their third daughter. Chrissy shared the happy news and all the details in a moving post that gave us goosebumps.

The baby was born via surrogate.

The couple welcomed the latest addition to their family, baby Wren Alexander Stevens, via surrogate, on June 19, 2023. The model noted that the name is a special nod to the woman who carried their child, Alexandra.

Chrissy shared the snaps of her bundle of joy with her over 42 million Instagram followers. She also posted a lengthy message in which she detailed the surrogacy journey and recounted the moving experience of witnessing Alexandra, ’’the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate’’, bringing her child into the world.

Now, her family feels complete.

The couple, who has a 7-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, had welcomed their third child, Esti Maxine, in January 2023.

Teigen revealed in her post that she ’’wanted to have four children’’ since she was a little girl, which means that her forever dream has finally come true.

They experienced the devastating feeling of loss.

Although they are a picture-perfect family now, this couple’s journey has been really tough at times. In fact, two years ago, they had lost their son Jack 20 weeks into her pregnancy.

And in her post, Teigen made sure to pay homage to her beloved Jack, noting ’’Our hearts, and our home, are officially full. And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.’’

She went on explaining that after Jack, she didn’t think she was ’’able to carry any more babies’’. However, after some time and therapy, she told John that she wanted to ’’try to carry just one more time.’’ So, they restarted the IVF process, and this is how she became pregnant with Esti.

And it is interesting to point out that Chrissy got the chance to be pregnant alongside Alexandra for a time, given there is only a five-month difference between Esti and Wren.

Even though she is an amazing mother, Chrissy had been previously criticized online and was even mom-shamed. However, she handled the situation in the cleverest way possible.
