It's a gorgeous photo. Crossing the legs was Queen Elizabeth's no-no. I'm sure the new, younger royals have relaxed a bit.

Wow, Princess Charlotte has her legs crossed at the knee. I thought all princesses were to cross their legs at the ankle. Princess Meghan would have gotten raked over the coals for doing something so naturally. Prince William has his shirt sleeve rolled up, so tacky. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have been shaded for this for months.

I believe they are allowed to cross at the knee, only if they’re in pants, because pants defeat the purpose of why they need to cross at the ankle (so as to not flash anyone). There’s also some pictures of Catherine doing the same thing. Also, regarding prince william, I think he chose to do that as this is a more laidback approach to a family photo, which is what the prince and princess have been trying to do lately (be more modern and laidback)

Royal Women were not allowed to wear pants while Queen Elizabeth was alive. All Royal Women are to cross their legs at the ankles no matter what. I have never seen any pictures of these two so dressed down, copying Prince Harry of course. Prince Harry and Dutchess Meghan got dragged over the coals for the picture of their family dressed in jeans, shirts and no socks or shoes on. Heaven forbid they do it but perfectly alright for Prince William, Princess Katherine and family.

Charlotte is a child while nutmeg is an adult. Williams" sleeves being rolled up is so NOT a issue. The articles have been many since before William and Kate married about how they think, dress, eat, etc....every instant of thier lives is monitored. Forget about Harry and the nutmeg who seek out the public eye....they stepped back from being royals and to compare the two families is just worthless. William and Kate have always - even in public - tried their best to appear as humble as possible. I quite like this picture....do you really think Charles and Diana (heck, even camilla) would have ever had a picture of them dressed so casually??? No, they wouldn't because the queen wouldn't have allowed it.

You got that right Prince Harry and Dutchess Meghan would have been front page News for years. I believe everything printed in "Spare". Prince Harry getting trashed for writing about HIS feelings and treatment but he is doing it for his cause of Mental Health. Trying to show that even Royalty has struggles with their own Mental Health.

In the photo, they smile cheerfully and wear casual outdoor attire, such as jeans, shirts, and sneakers. Shoe's with no Shoelaces are very popular in the states and a cross the pond.... There's nothing wrong with his finger it's just the way he's holding the arm of the chair.....
