How Rubbing Your Nails for 10 Minutes a Day Can Help You Grow Long Hair
There are many home remedies you can use to regrow your hair. And one of the most interesting techniques that may help you to sprout a gorgeous mane is a practice that requires the rubbing of your fingernails for just 5-10 minutes a day. This alternative reflexology therapy, also known as Balayam Yoga, may help to manage various problems, including hair loss and dandruff.
We at Bright Side were curious to know how something as simple as rubbing your nails could affect your hair. And we did some research to find out the reasons behind it.
It may activate hair growth.

According to Chinese acupressure, the nerve endings in our fingertips are linked to the scalp. When you rub your nails together, the friction you create affects nerves in the scalp. This, in turn, increases the blood flow and stimulates hair growth.
It might reduce hair loss.
It can restore hair follicles.
When to avoid this practice
Nail rubbing is an effective yoga practice that doesn’t require any special equipment. However, Balayam is not recommended for people suffering from diabetes, heart disease, or for pregnant women as it can increase blood pressure.
